Select Email options - block unwanted email A) When describing the condition please be clear in order to avoid disappointment. We recommend that you are as open and honest as possible; please make reference to any discoloration on the inside or outside, or any characteristics that would distinguish from a new diaper (e.g. poppers not working, elastic over-stretched etc.) We also recommend listing two photographs showing both the outside & inside of the diapers (A) Yes! We recommend that all diapers for sale are washed at 60°C before selling. Please advise the buyer if you use biological or non-biological powder. However, we also recommend you use PayPal to receive payment for the sale of your diapers as this automates the process, (follow our PayPal Direct Payment & IPN instructions below). If you prefer other methods of payment, please specify in your listing. (A) To enable PayPal 'Direct Payment' (which allows buyers to pay you immediately for your auctions) for The Used Diaper Company, 2. Click on the My Account icon from the 'Members' tab - Select 'Manage Account' 3. Enter your PayPal registered email address under 'Direct Payment Systems' (A) If you use Paypal as a direct payment method, (for receiving payments from your buyers), you will also need to setup Instant Payment Notification (IPN) which will automatically update the status of your sale directly on the myuseddiapers.com website, to do this: 1. Login to PayPal 4. Click the Instant Payment Notification Preferences link in the Selling Preferences column 5. Click Edit 6.Tick the checkbox and enter the URL http://www.myuseddiapers.com/pp_paypal.php 7. Click Save You have successfully activated IPN. (A) PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) is only available if you have a PayPal 'Premier' account. You can upgrade to a Premier Account for free from www.paypal.com and clicking on the 'Sign Up' button. (A) No - this site is available for any parent to use, wherever they are in the world. Please make sure you select your correct country when registering, and make it clear if you are willing to post internationally when listing. (Or check out our sister site www.usednappies.co.uk) (A) You must first be a registered member. Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link. The first thing to do is select a general category (i.e. a manufacturer, for example Mother-ease) for your item, note that you can choose a more specific category further into the listing process. You can then enter in your item description. (A) Yes you can, however we recomend you use basic tags as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly. (A) You can keep an eye on everything you are selling by visiting your members area and selecting the "selling" page. (A) We recommend you batch diapers of the same size & type together in batches of between 5-10, and sell them as a single lot. If you have a large mix of diapers of different types and sizes you may find the bulk upload facility useful. This can be found from the members area. (A) If no bids have been placed, the 'edit' option will be available in the 'Members Area' next to each listing. If bid(s) have already been placed, you can add additional text to the auction only. Please contact The Used Diaper Company if you require us to edit an auction where bids have been placed. (A) Dutch auctions allow you to sell multiple diapers individually through one listing. e.g. if you have 10 identical Fuzzi Bunz diapers that you want to sell individually, rather than creating 10 listings, you can create one 'Dutch Auction' listing and select a quantity of 10. Which can be downloaded from: (A) No, you have entered into a legally binding contract when you bid, unless the seller releases you from this obligation. You can retract a bid if made in error, please see the FAQ question related to this. (A) To place a bid on an item you must first login to your account. Once logged in, a bidding box will be displayed at the bottom of all auction pages. You can use this box to place your chosen bid. (A) You can keep an eye on everything you are bidding on by visiting your members area and selecting the "bidding" page. (A) Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you are outbid. (A) You can contact the seller via the message board and arrange payment (or pay directly via PayPal if the seller offers this option). (A) Sellers often list a low start price in order to gain interest in their diapers, but include a reserve price to ensure the item doesn't sell for less than the minimum they are willing to accept. (A) If a buyer has mistakenly bid on an item they can retract their bid. 2) Select the 'Bidding' Icon 3) Select the 'Retract Bid' link next to the relevant item ***We suggest you send a message to the seller if you are retracting a bid*** (A) Click on the 'MEMBERS' tab, and select Bidding 1) If the seller has setup direct PayPal or NoChex payment, the 'Pay with Direct Payment' option will be available. 2) If direct payment is not available please contact the seller via the Message Board to request payment instructions. A. In Step 5 of the selling process, click on the green '+' icon. Simply add the locations you are willing to ship to. EXAMPLE 1: US based sellers If you are based in the United States you can now select different shipping rates for different states, for example if you are based in New York state, simply specify a shipping rate for: 1) United States-> New York: USD: 5 2) United States: USD: 10 3) Canada: USD: 15 World-wide shipping: USD: 25 Bidders from New York will be charged $5 shipping, all other bidders from other US states will be charged $10, Canadian based bidders $15, and bidders from all other countries $25. TIP: Make sure you include 'United States' (without any States) to ensure shipping is quoted for all US States.
EXAMPLE 2: Canadian based sellers 1) Canada USD: 10 2) United States USD: 15 World-wide shipping USD: 25 (Canadian customers can also select provinces in a similar way to US states to specify different shipping rates for different provinces). TIP: Select just the United States (without a specific State) for a flat rate to all US States. The correct shipping will be calculated based on the bidders location.
